Il entre au musée du Louvre par la suite, en 1863. - 👀 Cette œuvre, peinte vers 1490, est l’un des nombreux exemplaires d’une composition créée par Domenico Ghirlandaio et répétée par son atelier. On y voit la Vierge Marie, l’Enfant Jésus sur ses genoux, caressant de la main le visage du jeune saint Jean-Baptiste.
