This is a poetic metaphor signifying a declaration of love that will mark the start of a life filled with adventures and feats of daring. - 🦅 The figures are wearing 15th century attire. The seated woman is wearing a coif decorated with precious pearls and a full, high-waisted blue dress lined with ermine. Her curved forehead and her wavy blond hair comply with the feminine canons of beauty in the Middle Ages.
